A natural photographer

My History

I have been taking quality photographs since I was 12 years old.  At 14, I had my first picture published on the National Associated Press wire.  I built my own darkroom at my family home so I could develop and print my work.

I studied Photojournalism at Kansas State University. While there, I shot a lot of sports photography and worked for the school newspaper.  I also taught a photography class at Pratt Junior College.  After college, I joined the Army and was stationed in Berlin, Germany.  During that time, I worked for the Berlin Observer (the local Army newspaper).

After leaving the Army, marriage brought me to Maine.  I got an Accounting Degree at USM and continued taking pictures for enjoyment as well as professionally at weddings and other events.

Through the process of aging, I would over-criticize my work. The advent of digital photography has allowed me to return to my first passion with confidence.

I currently have an office in Auburn, Maine to produce my art.  I edit my own pictures then print, matte, and frame them. I enjoy creating custom pieces for individual clients ranging from 5"x7" to 17"x24". Since I print, matte, and frame, I can fashion any combination of features. I would like to provide you with a lasting piece of art.
